The Centralized Processing Centre for Tax Deducted at Source (CPC(TDS)) has reprocessed TDS returns for the fiscal year 2023-24, removing demands for short deductions as per Circular 6/2024. This circular provides relaxation regarding higher TDS/TCS amounts due to the absence of PAN-Aadhaar linkage for transactions until March 31, 2024. However, this relaxation is applicable only if PAN is linked with Aadhaar by May 31, 2024.
